Lady Cougs Snap 4-Game Losing Streak with Dub over MVNU
Saint Francis outshot Mount Vernon in the paint with a 42:20 deficit thanks to Cassidy Crawford (19 points) and Ally Madden (18 points). USF's largest lead was by 14 points with 1:24 remaining in the first half.
Overall the Lady Cougs shot 60% from the field and 48% from 3-point range. MVNU and Saint Francis both scored 12-points off of turnovers from each side and USF's bench outshot MVNU's.
Key contributors included Emily Parrett leading overall scoring for both sides with 22 points. Parrett also had 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals all while riding on 4 fouls. Cassidy Crawford tabbed a triple-double in the win recording an additional 11 assists and 14 rebounds. Reganne Pate also contributed 12 points for the Lady Cougars.
The Lady Cougars are now 10-12 overall and 6-6 in conference. The Lady Cougars will travel to Upland, Indiana Saturday January 28th, to face-off with the Taylor University Trojans. Tip-off is set for 1pm at Odle Arena with the Men's teams to follow directly after. The last match-up with the Trojans ended in a 65-54 win for USF with home-court advantage.
