MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Lady Cougars wrapped up their regular season play in Mishawaka, Indiana handing a defeat to the Bethel University Pilots, 77-70. This win over the Pilots sits USF at 4th in the Crossroads League. This ranking will have USF host The Spring Arbor University Lady Cougars for the first round of the Crossroads League Conference Tournament.
The Lady Cougars led after the first quarter 23-22. Cassidy Crawford led overall scoring in the first quarter with 10 points and recorded 1 rebound. Turnovers in the second quarter faulted the Lady Cougs as the Pilots outshot them 18:13 and had more fast break opportunities than USF.
At the half the Lady Cougars trailed 36-40. USF picked up their shooting from the field taking smart shots and exemplifying stellar ball movement for the third and fourth quarters. Chloe McKnight hit a crucial three-pointer to begin the third to cut down the deficit, but then USF fell to turnovers and allowed Bethel to extend their lead.
