Saint Francis was on fire in the first quarter, scoring 25 points and sophomore guard Reganne Pate scored 12 points, an individual record thus far in a single quarter this season. The Lady Cougars took a 25-13 lead after the first quarter, shooting 53 percent from the floor while going 6-for-8 from beyond the three-point line.

Heading into the second quarter, the Lady Cougars carried their momentum over, building a lead as big as 15 points early in the frame.

During the frame, the Lady Cougars added three more threes to shoot .500 from beyond the arc in the first half. Saint Francis outscored Spring Arbor 19-15 in the second quarter to take a 44-28 lead at halftime.

Throughout the first half, the Lady Cougars got five steals while shooting 52 percent from the floor.

As the second half got underway, the script remained relatively unchanged as the Lady Cougars continued their tear on offense, building their lead to 24 points before Spring Arbor had to call a timeout.

At the end of three quarter, Saint Francis had a 64-38 lead. Starting off the fourth quarter, both teams battled back-and-forth, but the lead was too big for Mount Vernon to overcome as Saint Francis earned their fourth straight victory.

"We had a lot of confidence early in the game because we saw some shots go in," Head Coach Jason Ridge said. "Reganne (Pate) is one of those players that can get incredibly hot very quicky. I love how our other players tried to find her. It was a great spurt to start the game."

Throughout the game, the Lady Cougars shot 53 percent from the floor, 48 percent from beyond the three-point line, and 83 percent from the free throw line. Senior guard Sidney Crowe led the team in scoring with 16 points, while Reganne Pate followed suit with 15 points of her own.

The Lady Cougars resume play on Wednesday evening when they travel to Mishawaka, Indiana to face the Bethel University Pilots (10-16; 5-9 Crossroads) in their final regular season road game beginning at 7:00 pm.
