No. 6 IWU Tops SF in Crossroads League Clash

MARION, Ind - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's basketball team battled on the road Wednesday night, taking on No. 6 Indiana Wesleyan at Luckey Arena. The Wildcats came away with a 105–73 victory, improving to 8–1 overall and 2–1 in Crossroads League play.

The opening minutes were a close battle, with the Cougars trailing just 15–13 at the 14:14 mark. However, Indiana Wesleyan found its rhythm and closed the half on a strong run, building a 56–35 advantage at the break.

Saint Francis was unable to slow the Wildcats' strong offensive performance, as IWU shot over 52% from the floor and connected on 15 three-pointers to take control of the game.

As a team, the Cougars shot 41.3% (26–63), scored 34 points in the paint and collected 27 rebounds. Jevon Lewis led the way with 20 points and five assists, while RJ Moore also posted 20 points and added six rebounds. Justin McNelkan and Eugene Young Jr. combined for 17 points and 10 boards off the bench, and Joe Reidy recorded a team-high four steals.

Up next, Saint Francis men's basketball (3-7, 0-3 CL) will face another top-15 opponent in Bethel University on Saturday, December 6. Tipoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. inside the Hutzell Athletic Center.
