Cougars Blast 18 hits to Rally Past the Spartans

FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) put on a dominant performance in their neutral site match-up against the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference's own Manchester University, winning 17-9 at Parkview Stadium. Perry Stow earned the start on the mound for the Cougars, striking out 1 batter while allowing 1 walk in his 1 innings pitched.

After Stow's performace, Aiden Armitage took over impressively and became the winning pitcher for the Cougars, pitching 2 innings and striking out 1 batter. Bryce Adams, Luke Siren, Jeriel Santana, and Gavin Noble also contributed to the win, each pitching an inning and combining for a total of 8 strikeouts and 5 walks.

USF's offense was also firing on all cylinders, with several players making significant contributions at the plate. David Miller led the charge with 3 hits and 3 RBIs, including a double. Nick Parsons went 3 for 5 with 2 RBIs, while Xavier Croxton, Mike Jovanovic, Gavin Noble, Kolton Cardenas, Sam Pesa, & Noah Mack added 8 hits and 10 additional RBI's.

With this victory, the Cougars improve their overall record to 21-19 and their Crossroads League record remains at 15-11, placing them in a strong position for their upcoming match-up against the Grace College Lancers on Thursday, April 20th. The doubleheader is scheduled for a 12pm start time followed by a projected 3pm start.
