Saint Francis Races to Sixth Place at Crossroads League Championships

MARION, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's and women's cross country teams competed in the 2025 Crossroads League Cross Country Championships on Friday, November 7.

This year's league championships were held on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University at the IWU Cross Country Course. 

The Cougars finished in sixth place with a team time of 1:57:10. Taylor University secured first place, followed by Grace College in second and Marian University in third.

Andrea Pfau led Saint Francis with a new personal best time of 22:18.8, finishing in 14th place. Linda Koech followed with a time of 23:08.4, while Kiara Bahena finished at 23:39.5. Gloria Wafula and Lauren Moore crossed the finish line next, with Wafula clocking in at 23:52.0 and Moore finishing at 24:11.9.

"The women ran strong, with seven of our 11 women running lifetime bests over 6k," said Coach Moody. "We always aim to finish higher, but it wasn't in the cards today. I'm very proud of the women of this program, and we will get to be represented at the national championship in two weeks by true freshman Andrea Pfau!"

The NAIA will officially announce the 2025 cross country national qualifiers on November 14 at 5:00 p.m. This year's championship will be held on November 21 at the Apalachee Regional Park in Tallahassee, Florida.
