EMU Fall Classic Preps for CL Championship
EAST LANSING, Mich. -- On Friday afternoon the University of Saint Francis women's cross country team competed in the Eastern Michigan Fall Classic. In an unscored team race, the Cougars finished strong against predominantly Division 1 schools.
Leading the way in muddy conditions was 5th-year senior Alex Ebetino, followed by freshman Victoria Clibon. Other notable performances from the Cougars were freshman Marissa Goodwin, Kiara Behena, and sophomore Lily Stewart. All three rounded out the top 5.
"Times were not indicative of how well the women raced today. Under very muddy conditions, our women rose to the occasion to compete against some very solid competition," stated Head Coach, Brendon Moody
This was the last regular season contest for the Cougar women, next up for them is the Crossroad League Championship race which will be on November 3rd. Keep an eye out for Crosssroads Leageu nominations and teams as well in the near future!
