Alex Ebetino Finishes Third as Cougars Earn Sixth-Place Finish at Crossroads League Championship
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - On Friday morning the University of Saint Francis Cougars traveled to Shelbyville, Indiana to compete in the 2022 Crossroads League Championship, and earned a sixth-place finish out of 10 teams with a 1-5 total of 1:40.40.
Leading the way for the Cougars was junior Alex Ebetino as she had all season. The junior All-American earned a third-place finish out of 128 runners with a time of 17:55.7 with the average mile time being 5:45.9.
In addition to Ebetino, also representing the Cougars were freshman Ella Dubbs finishing 39th with a time of 20:00.9, junior Kristina Baum finishing 55th with a time of 20:41.5, and freshman Mikayla Robles finishing just behind Baum at 20:46.5 for 58th place, all placing in the top half of the competing conference runners.
Freshmen Dani Lesser and Lindy Wood as well as senior Kelsey Peck, sophomores Anna Strong and Lily Kissner, and juniors Kayla Quimby and Yami Diaz all ran for Saint Francis.
The Cougars will now prepare over the next couple of weeks before traveling down to Tallahassee, Florida for the NAIA National Championships taking place on Monday, November 18. More details to come.
