Cougars Tie Indiana Tech for 7th at IWU Twilight Invitational

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - On Friday evening the University of Saint Francis Cougars traveled to Marion, Indiana to compete in the 2022 IWU Twilight Invitational, and tied Indiana Tech for seventh place out of 15 teams with a total time of 1:39.22. 

Leading the way for the Cougars was junior Alex Ebetino who was the individual Crossroads League Champion in 2021. Ebetino placed eighth out of 196 runners with a time of 18:18.2. 

In addition to Ebetino, freshman Mikayla Robes placed 31st with a time of 19:32.3, freshman Ella Dubbs placing 50th with a time of 20:00.8, while junior Kristina Baum, freshman Dani Lesser, and senior Kelsey Peck all finished in the top half of the event. 

"Our women's team ran faily well, posting seven lifetime best out of the 12 runners that competed," Head Coach Brendon Moody said. "While we are happy with the early season progress, we know there is still work to do get to where we want to be come postseason."

The Cougars resume play next Friday when they travel to Notre Dame to compete in the 2022 National Catholic Invitational.
