USF Drops Conference Match to No. 19 Grace
WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) volleyball team took on No. 19 Grace College in a Crossroads League match on Wednesday, September 18.
After dropping the first two sets to Grace, USF had a .353 hitting percentage in set three as the Cougars and Lancers battled in a close back-and-forth set. The Lancers would go on to take Wednesday night's match 3-0, with set scores of 25-19, 25-18, 25-23.
As a team, the Cougars had 33 kills, with Paige Fortkamp leading the way with 10. The senior also had a team-high 11 digs. Teigen Fortkamp led in assists with 25 total, while Addison Shafer added eight kills and three block assists. Emily Hughes also contributed three block assists on Wednesday night.
Up next, USF volleyball (7-10,0-5) will play Spring Arbor University on the road on September 21.
