FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The USF Cougars played host to the MVNU (Ohio) Cougars for their Senior Day Finale in Hutzell Athletic Center over the weekend. USF honored two Seniors, Ellie Ferris & Alexis Gregory, in their final send-off match. USF fell to MVNU (Ohio) in four sets.
Key contributors of the match included Paige Fortkamp who had 11 kills in the four sets, 12 assists, 5 digs, and 4 blocks. Addison Shafer also contributed 8 kills to the Cougar offense, while Ellie Ferris 6 kills and 7 blocks at the net for her final match. Hannah Sweeney led in the back court with 13 digs while Senior Alexis Gregory contributed 12 digs and an assist. Kate McMullen also had 6 kills at the net and 5 blocks as well. Eliza Madden led with 17 assists in the four sets also.
With the season results, USF did not qualify for the Crossroads League Tournament taking place this Saturday (11/4). USF finished the season 8-23 overall and 2-16 in Crossroads League Play.
