Bahena Concludes Stellar Freshman Season at NAIA Outdoor Track & Field Championships
MARION, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's outdoor track and field team saw Kiara Bahena compete on Thursday afternoon for day two of the NAIA Outdoor Track and Field National Championships on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.

Bahena was the lone competitor for the Lady Cougars on day two, running in the women's 800m Run Semi-Finals. The freshman finished the race in 10th place with a time of 2:12.48, breaking her own school record, and just missing out on advancing to finals by .01 seconds.
Following Bahena's performance at the National Championships, Coach Moody said, "Kiara has quickly established herself as one of the top 800-meter runners within our conference as well as within the NAIA. I'm unbelievably proud of the way she has bought into the program, her coachability, and her grit and determination. She has such a bright future for the Cougars!"
