Saint Francis Posts Strong Marks at Weekend Meets

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) track and field teams competed at the GVSU Big Meet, hosted by Grand Valley State University, and the Tiffin Robinson Family Open, hosted by Tiffin University, on February 13-14.

At Friday's GVSU Big Meet, Andrea Pfau captured the 5,000m title with a time of 17:47.05 — the second-fastest mark in Saint Francis program history and a performance that ranks among the top 20 in the NAIA this season.

Lauren Moore also delivered a strong showing in the 800m, finishing with the third-fastest time in school history at 2:20.42.

On Saturday at the Tiffin Robinson Family Open, several Cougars recorded top-10 finishes. Gloria Wafula claimed the 3,000m title in 11:04.37. Heidi Meyer placed fourth in the 60m hurdles with a time of 10.38 seconds, moving into the program's top-10 all-time list.

In the 800 meters, Haile Schiffeneder finished eighth in 2:43.31, followed byDebra Ngetich in 10th at 2:50.54. Lillian Brumbaugh added a ninth-place finish in the 400 meters, crossing the finish line with a time of 1:06.98.

Up next, the Saint Francis indoor track and field teams will compete at the 2026 Crossroads League Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 20-21. This year's championships will be hosted at the Troyer Fieldhouse on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
