Saint Francis Takes Second at Rob and Patty Lydic Invitational

ADA, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's indoor track and field team earned a second-place finish at the Rob and Patty Lydic Invitational, hosted by Ohio Northern University, on Friday, January 16. The Cougars opened the new year with two event victories and multiple top-10 marks in program history.

Kiara Bahena captured first place in the women's 1,000-meter run with a personal-best time of 3:01.36. Andrea Pfau claimed the mile title, crossing the finish line in 5:26.09, which ranks as the fifth-fastest time in Saint Francis history. Pfau also competed in the 1,000m, posting a top-10 program mark with a time of 3:14.15.

In the field events, Hannah Boersema finished second in the shot put with a throw of 12.25 meters, a mark that ranks second all-time at Saint Francis.

Up next, the SF men's and women's indoor track and field teams will travel to the University of Iowa to compete in the Larry Wieczorek Invitational on January 23-24.
