Brookings, SD - -The University of Saint Francis Cougar Track & Field team has qualified for Nationals! This remarkable accomplishment is a testament to the hard work and dedication of these incredible athletes. Senior Joe Painter will represent Saint Francis in the Men's Pole Vault. Freshman Alvin Keter will make his first trip to nationals in the men's 5,000 meter.  On the women's side of the track, the quartet of Senior Alex Ebetino, Junior Mariah Maley, Freshman Kiara Bahena and Freshman Victoria Clibon will be running the women's 4000 meter Distance Medley Relay.  Additionally, Ebetino and Clibon will race the women's 3000 meter and Kiara Bahena will race the women's 800..

The road to Nationals has been filled with intense training sessions, high-stakes competitions, and unwavering determination from the athletes. They have pushed their limits, overcome obstacles, and consistently demonstrated their passion for the sport. 


"We are excited to represent our campus community at this level," said Director of Track and Field Coach Brendon Moody, " We look forward to making some finals this week and bringing home some All-American Honors!"

The NAIA National Championship action begins on Thursday, Feb 28, 2024 at the South Dakota State University Sanford Jackrabbit Sports Complex at 2:45 p.m when Keter runs his 5,000 meter prelim. Women's DMR races at 5:30 p.m.  On Friday, Bahena races at 2:45 p.m, Clibon and Ebetino race at 3:55 p.m Saturday's finals will be highlighted by Painter getting things kicked off at 1:15 p.m
