Saint Francis Comes Up Short at IU Kokomo

GREENTOWN, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) fell in a hard-fought 4-3 road match to Indiana University Kokomo on Thursday, February 19.

The Cougars opened strong in doubles play. At No. 1 doubles, Isabela Florez and Alejandra Parra earned a 6-2 victory over Chloe Schmidt and Kennedy Perrin. Saint Francis also secured the point at No. 3 doubles by default.

In singles action, Parra claimed a 6-1, 6-4 win at No. 1. Anna Yoder battled at No. 4 singles, earning a 6-2, 7-6 (5), 10-6 victory in a hard-fought match.

Up next, Saint Francis women's tennis will open Crossroads League play at Marian University on Sunday, February 22. Match time is slated for 1:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Healthplex.
