Dodson and Straley Lead Saint Francis at Battle at Blackthorn

 

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's golf team competed at the Battle at Blackthorn hosted at the Blackthorn Golf Club on September 22-23.

The Cougars posted rounds of 362 in Round 1 and 369 in Round 2. Their +155 finish put them ahead of Cornerstone (740) and Rend Lake (764)

Top teams/leaderboard highlights: 

  • Bethel University captured the women's team title with a total of +33 (609).

  • Grace College claimed second with a +46 (622). 

  • Olivet Nazarene University placed third at +74 (650). 

  • Holy Cross College and Mount Vernon Nazarene Universityrounded out the top five. 

Individually, London Dodson shot a +26 to tie for 28th place at the Blackthorn Golf Club. Tori Straley followed with a +33, with round scores of 90 and 87. Sophia Kay added a 179 total for +35.

Up next, SF women's golf will compete next Monday, September 29th,at the Stonehenge Invitational
