Women's Golf Opens Fall Season at Pretty Lake Intercollegiate
PLYMOUTH, Ind. - University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's golf wrapped up play at the Pretty Lake Intercollegiate Invite on September 9, finishing eighth in the 10-team field.
The Cougars posted team rounds of 367, 370, and 360 for a three-round total of 1,097.
Leading the way for Saint Francis was London Dodson, who tied for 13th place with round scores of 81, 86 and 84 for a 251 total. Sophia Kay closed with an 83 in the final round for a 265 total score. Tori Straley carded a 93 in the third round, Shay Boroff turned in a third-round 100. Mary Jones rounded out the scoring with a 106.
As a team, the Cougars showed improvement in the final round, lowering their score by 10 strokes compared to the opening day.
Host Bethel University won the tournament with a score of 983, edging Huntington (988) and Grace (991).
Saint Francis women's golf will return to action on Monday, September 22, at the Battle at the Blackthorn held at Blackthorn Golf Club in South Bend, Ind.
