No. 6 Women's Basketball Picks Up 11th Straight Victory at Grace

WINONA LAKE, Ind. - The No. 6 University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's basketball team earned a 95–80 road victory over Grace College in a Crossroads League matchup on Wednesday, January 28, extending its winning streak to 11 games.

Saint Francis opened the game strong offensively, shooting 57.1% from the field and scoring 29 points in the first quarter. Holding a 29–20 advantage entering the second, the Cougars continued to build momentum by outscoring the Lancers 22–18 to take a 51–38 lead into halftime.

The Cougars maintained control after the break, combining for 44 points across the third and fourth quarters to secure the 15-point road win. With the victory, Saint Francis improved to 20–1 overall and 10–1 in Crossroads League play, while Grace fell to 10–11 overall and 2–9 in league action.

The Cougars shot an 50.7% (35-69) from the field and knocked down 50.0% (13-26) of their attempts from beyond the arc. Taylor Fordyce led SF with a career-high 28 points on 11-14 shooting, including 4-5 from three-point range. Fordyce also added six assists, seven rebounds, and two steals. Cali Gregory contributed 23 points, while Isabella Gizzi finished with 19 points and nine rebounds. Julia Mantyla added 12 points, and Renna Schwieterman chipped in six points, nine rebounds, and six assists.

Up next, Saint Francis (20–1, 10–1 CL) returns home to host (RV) Indiana Wesleyan University on Saturday, January 31, for a 1:00 p.m. tipoff inside the Hutzell Athletic Center. In the first meeting between the two teams this season, the Wildcats defeated the Cougars, 81–59.
