FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) cross country teams made a short commute to Purdue Fort Wayne for the Mastodon Opener to open up their 2023 tenure.
The Women's team finished third overall and was led by Senior, Alex Ebetino. Ebetino finished 4th overall and she was followed by Freshman, Victoria Clibon who finished 11th. Ebetino & Clibon were key highlights for the Lady Coug Runners.
The Men's program also raced well and were led by Junior, Connor Jackson & standout Freshman, Dylan Anspach.
"Both programs raced well this evening to get the season started. It was good to see our newcomers step up into our top five and factor into the scoring positions," Head Coach Brendon Moody claimed.
The Cougars will race again at the Ray Bullock Invitational on September 15th & the Lady Cougars will not compete again until the Roy Griak Invitational on September 22nd.
