SF Men’s Track & Field Continues Outdoor Season at Al Owens Classic

ALLENDALE, Mich. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) track and field teams continued the outdoor season at the GVSU Al Owens Classic hosted by Grand Valley State University on April 10-11. 

Saint Francis recorded four top-10 finishes and multiple program top-10 performances at the meet.

Vincent Purcell broke his own program record in the 200m, clocking a time of 22.63.

In the 100m, Daniel Davis and Purcell posted top-10 marks in program history with times of 10.30 and 11.15, respectively.

Emmanuel Langat (1:56.97), Zane Strydom (1:58.14), Festus Kurgat (1:59.72), and Kreston Tow (2:00.35) each recorded new top-10 times in the 800m.

Taylor Stubbins, Strydom, and Kurgat also added top-10 marks in the 1,500m, finishing in 3:59.56, 4:03.58, and 4:05.65, respectively.

Evan Pitts posted the fourth-fastest 5,000m time in program history, finishing in 15:36.60.

Up next, the Cougars will travel to Georgia for the Georgia Tech Invitational on April 17-18.
