Cougars Close Out Regular Season at Don Kleinow Invitational and GVSU Extra Weekend Meet
ADRIAN, Mich. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's outdoor track and field team competed at two meets over the weekend, the Don Kleinow Invitational and the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet.
To start off the weekend, the Cougars competed at the Don Kleinow Invitational hosted by Siena Heights University.
Benjamin Marano bested the competition in the 400m hurdles with an NAIA 'B' Standard time of 52.86, which is the second fastest time in school history.
Hugo Humbert won the 1,500m with a time of 4:01.00, putting him second all-time at USF. In the men's 800m, Humbert finished 12th with a new top-10 time of 2:00.40.
Nick Nondorf came in sixth place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 15.72 seconds.
Christian Porter also earned a top-10 finish in the discus, landing in sixth place with a throw of 40.89 meters.
Evan Pitts established a new USF top-10 mark in the 1,500m, finishing 11th overall with a time of 4:12.14.
Quinn Clayton placed 10th in the 400m, recording a new top-10 time of 51.31 seconds for Saint Francis.
Javan May finished with a new USF top-10 time of 23.34 in the 200m for 13th place overall.
Ethan Hille competed in the long jump, finishing in 13th place with a new top-10 mark of 5.95m.
Joey Rauwerda won the pole vault at the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet hosted by Grand Valley State University with a mark of 5.06m, besting a field of 16 competitors.
Up next, the Cougars will compete at the 2025 Crossroads League Championships on May 1-2. This year's championships are being hosted on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University at the IWU Track and Field Complex.
