Cougars Compete at 120th Annual Indiana Little State Championships

MARION, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) outdoor track and field teams competed at the 120th Annual Indiana Little State Championships on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University on April 11-12. 

The USF men's team finished in 13th place out of 17 total teams. 

Joey Rauwerda bested the competition in the pole vault with a new USF school record mark of 5.30m (17'4.5"). Rauwerda's jump meets the NAIA 'A' Standard and currently places him at the top of the NAIA rankings by 0.25 cm.

Benjamin Marano secured second place in the 400-meter hurdles, achieving a new school record time of 54.23 seconds.

Sam Htoo delivered a strong performance in the javelin, finishing in the top ten with a throw of 42.95 meters (140'11").

Evan Pitts ran his way to a new Saint Francis top-10 time in the 10,000m at 33:39.68. 

Up next, the Cougars will compete at the Wilmington Invite and GVSU Extra Weekend Meet on Saturday, April 26.
