Record Performance Leads SF at Weekend Meets
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) track and field teams competed at the GVSU Big Meet, hosted by Grand Valley State University, and the Tiffin Robinson Family Open, hosted by Tiffin University, on February 13-14.
At Friday's GVSU Big Meet, Quinn Clayton broke the Saint Francis school record in the 600 meters, clocking a time of 1:23.88. His performance beat the previous record by more than a second. Vincent Purcell also competed in the event, posting the fourth-fastest mark in program history with a time of 1:26.32.
On Saturday at Tiffin, Abdallah Ahmed recorded a top-five finish in the 400m, placing fourth overall with a time of 54.31 seconds. Drew Boggs also brought home fourth place in the high jump, clearing 1.93m (6'4").
Up next, the Saint Francis indoor track and field teams will compete at the 2026 Crossroads League Indoor Track and Field Championships on February 20-21. This year's championships will be hosted at the Troyer Fieldhouse on the campus of Indiana Wesleyan University.
