Cougars Turn in Strong Showing at Jud Logan Light Giver Open

ASHLAND, Ohio - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars competed at the Jud Logan Light Giver Collegiate Open, hosted by Ashland University on Friday and Saturday, February 6-7. A school record and multiple personal bests highlighted the weekend for the Cougars.

The distance medley relay team, consisting of Zane Strydom, Benjamin Marano, Taylor Stubbins and Emmanuel Langat, broke the SF school record with a time of 10:14.60 for fourth place overall. 

Langat also finished the 3,000m run with a new personal best time of 8:37.85 for ninth place. 

Stubbins moved to third best in school history in the 800m at 1:59.08. 

Kreston Tow also moved into the SF top-10 list in the 800m, with a time of 2:01.51. 

Evan Pitts moved to sixth on the top-10 list in the 5,000m run with a time of 16:12.08.

Up next, Saint Francis will compete at the GVSU Big Meet and Tiffin Robinson Family Open on February 13-14.
