Cougars Outlast Snow Storm, Pr'ing in Multiple Events over the Weekend
FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The Cougars traveled over the weekend to both Indiana Tech and Muskingum University to compete in some last minute Field events, Sprint Events, and Distance events.
Even with these sudden changes the Cougars saw great success at Indiana Tech with 5 throwers hitting new personal bests. Kaylee Miller, Daniel Thompson, and Noah Hill all PR'd in shotput and Hannah Boersema and Gwen Jakway PR'd in weight.
At Muskingum, the distance runners tore through their records with freshman Victoria Cilbon finishing the women's 1 mile with a time of 5:22 and Lily Kissner with 6:05. Cilbon now holds the #5 record for the USF distance program. Senior Alex Ebetino hit B standard in the 1000 meters with a time of 3:02, Ebetino is also now ranked #4 in 1000, #2 in the 5000, and #3 in the 3000 throughout the NAIA. Also in the 1000 meter Kiara Bahena hit 3:10, and Lille Stewart with 3:24, all new personal bests for these women. In the men's 1000 meter, Connor Jackson finished in second with a time of 2:4, and Alex Reagan finished in fourth with 2:46 which moves him up to #9 in the programs history.
Next week the Cougars will travel to Tiffin University for their second meet of this year.
