SF Men's Tennis Falls to (RV) Maple Leafs 5-2
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's tennis team hosted (RV) Goshen College for a Crossroads League match on Tuesday, March 31. Goshen won Tuesday afternoon's match 5-2.
The Maple Leafs claimed the doubles point with wins at No. 1 (6-3) and No. 2 (6-3).
In singles play, Juan Andres Wilches battled at No. 1 but fell 6-2, 6-3. Jorge Cebria also competed at No. 2, falling 6-4, 6-1, while Hugo Gonzalez Cabanas dropped his match at No. 3, 6-3, 6-1.
Gerard Cuixart and Alvaro Adrio picked up wins at No. 4 and No. 5 singles after their opponents retired.
Up next, Saint Francis men's tennis (6-4, 1-4 CL) will travel to No. 20 Grace College on Saturday, April 4. Match time is set for 4:00 p.m. in Winona Lake, Ind.
