Saint Francis Earns 6-1 Victory Over IU East

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars hosted the Indiana University East Red Wolves at the Wildwood Racquet Club on Friday, February 27. 

The Cougars defeated the Red Wolves 6-1 to improve to 5-1 on the season.

In doubles play, Jorge Cebria and Alvaro Adrio earned a 6-2 victory at No. 2, while Devon McCaffrey and George Ebert secured a 6-0 win at No. 3.

Saint Francis dominated singles action, winning five matches. Cebria posted a 6-3, 6-2 victory at No. 1, and Hugo Gonzalez Cabanas claimed a 6-2, 6-4, 10-7 win at No. 3. Adrio added a 6-4, 6-1 decision at No. 4, while McCaffrey rolled to a 6-1, 6-1 win at No. 5. Ebert capped the day with a 6-3, 6-1 victory at No. 6.

Up next, Saint Francis men's tennis (5-1, 0-1 CL) will host Spring Arbor University for a Crossroads League matchup on Friday, March 20.
