Saint Francis Falls to Marian to Open League Play

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's tennis team opened Crossroads League play at No. 22 Marian University on Sunday, February 22. The Cougars were defeated 7-0 by the Knights.

Hugo Gonzalez Cabanas and Gerard Cuixart competed at No. 2 doubles, falling in a tight 7-6 decision.

In singles play, Juan Andres Wilches dropped a 6-2, 6-3 match to James Ashworth at the No. 1 spot. Jorge Cebria competed at No. 2 singles, falling 6-3, 6-1.

At No. 5 singles,Alvaro Adrio rebounded after a 6-0 first set but fell 6-4 in the second to Bogdan Precupesco.

Up next, the Saint Francis tennis teams will host Indiana University East at the Wildwood Racquet Club on Friday, February 27 at 1:00 p.m.
