Men's Tennis Opens Fall Slate with 5-2 Win Over Taylor
FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's tennis team opened the fall season with a 5-2 win over visiting Taylor University on Saturday, September 20.
The Cougars swept the three doubles matchups, with the No. 1 doubles pairing of Juan Andres Wilches and Jorge Cebria earning a hard-fought 7-5 win. The No. 2 duo of Grant Mishler and Devon McCaffrey defeated their opponents 6-2, while Andres Pena and George Ebert also won 6-2.
McCaffrey won at the No. 3 singles position, defeating Joseph Harper 6-3, 6-3. Mishler fought to a 7-5, 6-4 victory in the No. 4 singles slot, while Ebert defeated his opponent 6-4, 6-4. Enzo Bozonnet closed out the match for SF at No. 6 singles with a win, taking set one 6-3 and set two 6-2.
