MAUMEE, Ohio -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Men's Tennis team faced off against Lourdes University on March 26, 2023, at Shadow Valley TC in Maumee, Ohio. Unfortunately, the Cougars fell to the Gray Wolves with a score of 6-1.

In the singles competition, the Cougars struggled to keep up with their opponents. However, Alfredo Huamami from Saint Francis managed to win his match against Ondrej Skokan from Lourdes in a thrilling three-set match with a score of 6-4, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4). Eric Stavnheim, Quentin Spears, Devon McCaffrey, Andres Pena, and Will Daigle from Saint Francis all fell to their opponents from Lourdes.

In the doubles competition, Saint Francis' Martin Maurant and Devon McCaffrey managed to secure a win against Lourdes' Josh Parish and Alvaro TrilloSanchez with a score of 6-3. However, Lourdes' Ulises Barradas and Victor Dieltiens won against Saint Francis' Alfredo Huamami and Eric Stavnheim with a score of 7-5, while Lourdes' Theo Casadei and Ondrej Skokan won against Saint Francis' Will Daigle and Quentin Spears with a score of 6-2.

The loss against Lourdes puts the Cougars at a 1-3 record for their Spring 2023 season. Their next and final game of the season will be on April 4th at Manchester University, with a 3PM start time at the MU Tennis Courts.
