Cougars Fall to No. 19 Warriors on the Road

Fort Wayne, Ind. - University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's soccer team battled No. 19 Indiana Institute of Technology for over 75 minutes before the Warriors broke through late to hand the Cougars a 2-0 loss on Tuesday, August 26. 

After a scoreless first half, the match remained deadlocked deep into the second before Indiana Tech put the hosts ahead in the 76th minute. The Warriors struck again in the 90th minute to secure the 2-0 result.

Saint Francis created opportunities throughout, recording 12 shots overall with six attempts on frame, but Warrior goalkeeper Cuba Grant was perfect with six saves. SF goalkeeper Kevin Wachiaya Onelius turned away four shots in the loss. 

The Cougars also tallied three corner kicks on the night, while the match featured a combined 39 fouls. 

Saint Francis men's soccer (1-2, 0-0 CL) will return home to host Madonna University on Wednesday, September 3rd, at 2:00 p.m.
