UPLAND, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Cougars traveled to Upland, Indiana for their Crossroads League Opener against the Taylor University Trojans. The Cougars and Trojans drew with a 3-3 final at Turner Stadium. 

In a nail-biting matchup at Turner Stadium, the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Men's Soccer team showcased their resilience.

The Cougars' standout player of the night was undoubtedly Daniel Eleuterio, who put on a sensational performance. Eleuterio was the driving force behind every single one of Saint Francis's goals, contributing two stunning strikes of his own and providing an assist.

The Trojans got off to a flying start, taking an early lead, but Eleuterio quickly answered back. His first goal came at a crucial moment, leveling the scoreline at 1-1. But Eleuterio was far from finished. In the 49th minute, he teamed up with Guilherme Girotto Franco to orchestrate an exquisite goal that saw Franco finding the back of the net, tying the game at 2-2.

However, it was Eleuterio's second goal of the match that stole the show. In the dying moments of the game, with the Cougars trailing 3-2, Eleuterio delivered a moment of magic. His precision and composure were on full display as he fired a game-tying missile into the Trojans' net, ensuring that the University of Saint Francis would walk away with a well-deserved point on the road. 

Jannik Reiss, the Cougars' steadfast goalkeeper, recorded 90-minutes for the Crossroads Opener. He held his ground in net and made two crucial saves out of the five shots he faced, preserving the tie and keeping Saint Francis in the game.

USF is now 7-2-1 overall and 0-0-1 in Crossroads League Play. The Cougars will return home on Wednesday, September 27th to host the No. 20-Ranked Indiana Wesleyan Wildcats. The Wildcats enter into the match-up 9-1 overall and 1-0 in CL Play.
