FORT WAYNE, Ind. – The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's soccer team proved valiant in a strong performance against Concordia University Ann Arbor with a 6-2 final. The Cougars took the early lead in the 1st minute of the match and rode the momentum wave into the half, leading 4-0. 

Luis Miguel Parodi opened the scoring for USF with an assist from a Martim Silva corner. From there, Concordia was able to hold the Cougars to only a one-goal advantage until the 19th minute, where Enrique Subiran was awarded a penalty kick. Subiran executed from the spot putting the Cougs up 2-0, where they then doubled their lead before the half. Luis Miguel Parodi & Sasha Halabi took part in goals 3 & 4 assisted by Guilherme Girotto Franco & Bryan Ramirez.

Enrique Subiran notched his third goal of the season & his 2nd in tonight's match, chipping the Concordia goalkeeper from 25-yards out to open up the second half of Cougar attack. Dalton Blankenbaker also poured on the pressure in the final third for the Cougars, forcing a Concordia own goal in the 57th minute to conclude the Cougars scoring frenzy. 

The Cardinals threw a last ditch effort at the Cougars during a 4-minute mental lapse. Concordia scored in the 83rd and 87th-minutes, sneaking 2-goals past USF's Yannik Reiss. Reiss tallied 90-minutes and 1 save on the evening while the Cougar team as a whole tallied 13 shots & 6 corner kicks to alleviate pressure on their backline.

USF is now 2-1 overall and will not open up conference play until September 23rd. The Cougars will travel to Centerville, Indiana for their next match-up against Indiana East on Saturday, September 2nd. Kick-off is set for 2pm at Eaton High School.
