Saint Francis Battles Rain Soaked Music City Collegiate
Dickson, Tenn. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's golf team wrapped up play at the Music City Collegiate, hosted by Cumberland University at Greystone Golf Club. Due to weather, the tournament was shortened to 36 holes, with the Cougars finishing 19th overall in a competitive NAIA field.
The Cougars carded a team total of +41, battling through challenging course conditions and a deep leaderboard. Ben Couture led the way for Saint Francis, posting a +6 total to finish 67th. Senior Bailey Marquart finished with a score of +9. Keenan Beaty followed close behind with a +10 score, while teammates Donny Dimberio and Lance Walters recorded +16 and +25 finishes.
The event showcased strong play from some of the top NAIA programs in the region. Dalton State won the event at 19-under as a team. Lindsey Wilson finished in second place at 14-under and Northwestern Ohio took third at 11-under. Point finished fourth at seven-under, followed by IU East and Indiana Wesleyan tied for fifth at three-under.
Up next, SF will travel to Dearborn, Michigan, to compete at The Lakes Championship on October 13-14.
