Cougars Open Fall Season at Battle at Blackthorn

SOUTH BEND, Ind. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's golf team competed at the Battle at Blackthorn hosted at the Blackthorn Golf Club, finishing in6th placewith a team total of+44 (620). The Cougars posted an 18-hole score of 319 in Round 1 and a 301 in Round 2.

Top teams/leaderboard highlights: 

  • Taylor University took first place, shooting a two-round total ofE (576). 

  • Bethel University claimed second place with a score of +19 (595). 

  • Spring Arbor University placed third at +20 (596). 

  • Grand Rapids CCandHoly Cross College rounded out the top five. 

 
Bailey Marquart led Saint Francis, tying for 7th place with a score of +3. Ben Couture and Keenan Beaty tied with total scores of 157. 

Up next, the SF men's golf team will compete at the LTU Fall Invitation on Friday, September 26th. Both teams will compete next Monday, September 29th,at the Stonehenge Invitational
