YPSILANTI, Mich. -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) Men's Golf Team competed in the Cardinal Classic, showcasing their potential and finishing in 5th place among a field of ten formidable teams. The tournament, held at Washtenaw Golf Club, witnessed the Cougars' impressive performance as they steadily improved their game over the three rounds.

Team Performance:

The Cougars began the tournament with a 1st Round score of 320, showing room for improvement. They quickly rebounded in the 2nd Round, demonstrating their resilience with a much-improved score of 311. In the final round, they continued their upward trend, posting a score of 315. This remarkable comeback effort led to an overall team score of 946, a mere 45 strokes behind the tournament leaders.

Individual Standouts:

Bailey Marquart led the way for the Cougars, shooting an 83 in the 1st Round but impressively bouncing back with 74s in the 2nd and 3rd Rounds. His overall score of 231 secured him a commendable 14th place finish out of 57 competitors.

Wyatt Johnson showcased his consistency throughout the tournament, hitting a 76 in the 1st Round, an 81 in the 2nd Round, and a 77 in the 3rd Round, accumulating an overall score of 234 and finishing 18th overall.

Chris Guhl, playing as a "USF Individual," demonstrated his skills with a total score of 238 over the three rounds, securing a 27th place finish.

Levi Follett and Donny Dimberio played solid golf, with Follett finishing 34th overall and Dimberio placing 36th overall.

Seth Roop showed determination as well, finishing 47th overall with his 2nd Round being his strongest.
