Cougars Close Season in Crossroads League Quarterfinals
MARION, Ind. - The season came to a close for the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's basketball team on Wednesday night, as the Cougars fell to No. 4 Indiana Wesleyan University, 97–55, in the Crossroads League Tournament Quarterfinals.
Indiana Wesleyan, the No. 2 seed on the bracket, shot 60% from the field in the first half while building a 47–20 halftime advantage. The Cougars tried to build momentum and chip away at the Wildcats' lead in the second half, but Indiana Wesleyan continued its strong offensive attack, knocking down 12 three-pointers to help secure the 97-55 win to advance to the Crossroads League Semifinals.
As a team, the Cougars shot 37% (20-54) from the field with 24 points in the paint. Freshman Jordan Furney led SF with 12 points and two steals. Karson Rogers added 10 points and five rebounds, while Malachi King and Braeden Messenger each contributed 8 points. Trey Dillard added 6 points and three rebounds off the bench, while Joe Reidy pulled down five rebounds.
Saint Francis men's basketball concludes the 2025-26 season with an overall record of 12-16 and finished league play with a record of 7-11.
