FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) men's basketball team played host to the unranked Marian University Knights over the weekend. The Cougars fell to the Knights with an 86-71 final.
The Cougars trailed at the half by 6-points, as Luke Almodovar led for USF with 23-points, 11 coming from the first half. Zane Burke also shot well for the Cougars tallying 15 points & 8 rebounds and Charlie Yoder chipped in 16-points. As a team, USF recorded 36 rebounds, 11 assists, 2 steals, and 4 blocks. The Cougars shot 43.3% from the field, 26.9% from 3-point range, and 85.7% from the foul line going 12-for-14.
Overall, USF is now 10-7 and 3-4 in Crossroads League Play. The Cougars will contine CL Play on the road this Wednesday against the Grace College Lancers. Tip-off is set for 7:30pm in Manahan Orthopaedic Capital Center. The Lancers are currently Ranked No. 1 in the NAIA.
