Cougars Drop Road Game to No. 3 Warner
LAKE WALES, Fla. - The University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's flag football team fell to No. 3 Warner University by a final score of 48-6 on Tuesday, March 10.
The Royals struck first, scoring two touchdowns in the opening period to grab a 13-0 lead. Saint Francis responded with a 15-play, 66-yard drive that ended in a touchdown, cutting Warner's lead to 13-6 late in the first period. Warner added another touchdown in the second period to extend its lead to 20-6.
The Royals added four more touchdowns across the third and fourth periods to secure the 48-6 victory and improve their overall record to 8-0 on the season.
The Cougars finished with 231 total yards of offense. Jianna Reyes completed 31 of 41 pass attempts for 195 yards and one touchdown. Makenzie Fuess and Wilma Gardner each caught six passes for a combined 102 yards. Harmany Walker finished with five catches for 19 yards and a touchdown.
Defensively, Saint Francis recorded 24 flag pulls, with Walker and Nina Kamma-Hill leading the Cougars with five tackles each. Da'Kyla Hall recorded a sack, while Madison Myers-Rebidas added a pass breakup.
