USF Football Announces Staff Changes & Releases Fall Schedule

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Coach Kevin Donley, who enters his 25th season as the Head Coach for the University of Saint Francis, is excited to release staff changes and the fall schedule.   

Coach Adam Sherman returns to USF at the offensive line coach / run game coordinator.  Sherman is former All-American and Rimington award winner for the Cougars.  He brings to the staff a wealth of experience in the NAIA, serving as the assistant head coach at both Marian and Walsh universities. He also served as a head high school coach in the Indianapolis area and as a high school assistant in Florida. 

Another new member to the offensive staff is Devin Senerius who will assist with wide receivers, and played football at USF. 

The remainder of the offensive staff include Cody Dinan (Wide Receivers/Pass Game Coordinator), Austin Dreyer (Tight Ends / Wing Backs), Olajuwon Turner (Assistant Offensive Line), Eddie Nolan (Running Backs), Danny Nolan (Assistant Running Backs) and David Yoder (Quarterbacks).  Yoder, Turner and Dreyer all played football for the cougars.

Joey Didier will be transitioning his former role as defensive coordinator to that of Assistant Head Coach/Special Teams coordinator.  Steve Wilt will be assisting Coach Didier with the special teams units.  Wilt is the former head coach at Taylor University and is entering his 8th season as an assistant with the cougars.

Matt Millhouse and Rahju Blackmon will be serving the staff as Co-Defensive Coordinators. Millhouse, a Cougar alumnus and long-time high school defensive coordinator, will coach the secondary, with Blackmon returns to his playing roots as a linebacker at Grand Valley state, who will serve as the linebacker coach. 

New to the staff will be defensive line coach Ted Karras. Coach Karras served as Marian's first head coach, winning a national title with them in 2012.  He has also served as the head coach at Rose-Hulman and Walsh University. The remainder of the defensive staff include Jonathan Becker as assistant linebacker's coach, and Dave Ivy as assistant defensive line coach. Ivy will also begin his 25th season with the Cougars.

The Cougars will begin their 2022 season on the road Saturday, September 10 against Saint Francis Illinois. Although all the start times have not yet been finalized, the dates and opponents are as listed:

September 10 @ St. Francis Illinois

September 17 home against Judson @ 6:00 pm

September 24 home against Saint Xavier @ 6:00 pm

October 1 @ Siena Heights

October 8 @ Madonna

October 15 home against Marian @ 12:00 pm

October 22 @ Indiana Wesleyan

October 29 home against Taylor @ 12:00 pm

November 5 @ Lawrence Tech

November 12 @ Concordia Ann Arbor

The Cougars will play their Spring Football Game on Saturday, April 23rd over at Bishop D'Arcy Stadium beginning at 12 noon.
