Six Cougars Earn All-NAIA East Recognition in Inaugural Season

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. - The All-NAIA East Flag Football Team was announced this afternoon, with six members of the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) women's flag football team earning recognition in the program's inaugural season.

Jianna Reyes, Harmany WalkerMadison Myers-Rebidas, and Haylee Weatherspoon were named to the All-NAIA East First Team.

Reyes has thrown for over 3,000 yards this season while adding more than 500 rushing yards and accounting for 46 total touchdowns. Walker has recorded over 50 receptions for more than 870 yards and nine touchdowns.

Myers-Rebidas and Weatherspoon have anchored a Saint Francis defense that has totaled more than 340 flag pulls and three defensive touchdowns. Both have also recorded five interceptions and seven pass breakups.

Wilma Gardner and Makenzie Fuess earned All-NAIA East Second Team honors. Gardner, a running back/blocker, and Fuess, a center, have been key contributors to a Saint Francis offense averaging over 295 yards and 25 points per game.

Saint Francis will next compete in the inaugural NAIA Women's Flag Football Invitational, set for May 7-9 in Bradenton, Florida, at IMG Academy.
