Cross Crowned MSFA Midwest League Defensive Player of the Week

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Mid-States Football Association (MSFA) announced the Midwest League players of the week on Monday, recognizing the league's top individual performances over the weekend.

MSFA Midwest Weekly Honors - Nov. 3

Marquise Cross represented the University of Saint Francis (Ind.) in this week's awards after being named the MSFA Midwest League Defensive Player of the Week.

Cross led the Cougars' defense with eight tackles, including three for a loss of 17 total yards, in a 30-22 upset win over Olivet Nazarene on Saturday. The senior defensive lineman also recorded two sacks, a forced fumble and a QB hurry against the Tigers. This marks his first career MSFA Player of the Week award.

Founded in 1890 in the Catholic Franciscan tradition, the University of Saint Francis offers more than 60 undergraduate, graduate and doctoral programs through the College of Health Sciences and the College of Arts, Sciences, and Business.
