Kohne chosen Capital One Academic All-American District 2

University of Saint Francis senior Scott Kohne has been selected to the 2013-14 Capital One Academic All-American District 2 Team.
Kohne, a 6-foot-7 forward, is a business major at USF with a 3.31 grade-point average who also is averaging 16.8 points per game, No. 12 in the Crossroads League. Kohne is No. 24 in NAIA total rebounds with 195 and No. 27 in defensive rebounds per game (5.9). Kohne scored 21 points in USF's 81-80 loss to No. 11 Indiana Wesleyan on Saturday to move in to 12th place on the USF career scoring list with 1,444 points passing Jerome Frison (1,429 points, 1974-75). This is Kohne's first selection to the District 2 Team.
Kohne is now eligible for consideration for the 2013-14 national Capital One Academic All-American Team.
The CoSIDA Academic All-America program honors highest achieving student-athletes for combined academic and athletic success across all divisions of intercollegiate athletics. Nominees must have a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.30 (on a 4.0 scale) in BOTH undergrad and graduate work. Student-athletes are nominated by active sports information directors and selected in voting by SIDs.
