

When it comes to the smartest team on campus, the 2008-09 Lady Cougars golf team is an ace with five selections to the 2009 NAIA Daktronics Scholar Athlete Team.
April Heyerly was the lone senior and most notably a repeat selection. Heyerly is the first two-time selection for the USF women's golf program. USF had four junior selected -- Hilary Bowman, Lyndsey Brumbaugh, Brooke Dalton and Lindsey Eaton.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify.
