The University of Saint Francis women's golf team opened the 2010 season with a 5th place finish at the University of West Georgia Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (March 22^nd & 23^rd) in Villa Rica, GA.

The 26^th ranked Cougars could not fight the snow, rain, wind, and temperatures averaging 38 degrees on day 1 to ever put them in contention.  USF showed improvement on day 2 shaving 13 strokes off their day 1 total. 

The Cougars shot team scores of 370 and 357 to finish at 727 overall.  Harding University was the overall winner at 693 (356-337), with West Georgia placing second at 694 (362-332).

Hilary Bowman (Huntertown, IN) led the way for USF. She shot rounds of 89 and 85 (174) to finish 11th overall.

USF will host the USF Invitational at Noble Hawk and Cobblestone (Kendallville, IN) on April 9^th and 10^th.
