MARION, Ind. -- After battling to a scoreless tie through a rainy, sloppy 2-plus innings on Tuesday, Spring Arbor didn't waste any time grabbing the lead and holding on for a 3-1 win over the University of Saint Francis on Wednesday morning.
The Lady Cougars (15-26) only managed four hits, but did get on the scoreboard when Desiree Stone scored in the sixth. She doubled, was sacrificed to third and dashed home when SAU tried to pick her off at third and the catcher's throw bounced into left field.
