The University of Saint Francis men's golf team opened their 2010 spring season at the University of West Georgia Invitational in Villa Rica, GA on Monday and Tuesday (March 22-23).
The 36-hole event was an opportunity of USF to travel south and play in some decent weather to start the spring...so they thought! Round 1 the Cougars faced snow, rain, wind, and temperatures averaging 38 degrees. USF shot team scores of 320-324 for a total of 644, good for 4th place overall. the University of Montevallo was the overall winner at 605, followed by West Georgia at 607.
USF was led by Bryan Elston (Tipton, IN.), who finished with total of 156 (79-77) to tie for 11th overall.
The Cougars will host at Noble Hawk / Cobblestone on April 9th and 10th.
