FORT WAYNE, Ind. -- With the completion of the spring semester at the University of Saint Francis, 17 student-athletes have earned selection to 2009 NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete Teams including five two-time selections.
Baseball had three repeat selections including Mickey Cassidy, Matt Degitz and Brok Lahrman. April Heyerly was a two-time selection in women's golf and Michael Domenico was a two-time selection from men's golf. USF's baseball team and women's golf team led the way with five selections apiece.
Nominated by each institution's head coach, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and have achieved junior academic status to qualify for the national NAIA honor squad.
