The University of Saint Francis continued its run in the NAIA Coaches Top 25 finishing at No. 18 in the final regular season poll released on Sunday afternoon.
USF, which finished 7-3 in its 12th season, fell from No. 11 and out of contention for an at-large bid in the 2009 NAIA Football Championship Series. USF had earned a berth in 10 consecutive NAIA FCS and had advanced to six consecutive NAIA FCS semifinals, but the 23-16 loss at No. 25 Taylor on Saturday ended the season for USF. The Cougars have been ranked in 127 consecutive polls.
